“I highly recommend this company to take photos at your wedding! We loved our photographer Percy. He was incredible, and so helpful. He came with several cameras and valued all of our ideas, and when we became stumped he offered ideas for us to try as well. He was very professional, kind, caring, and always on top of the game taking photos. Towards the end of our night he started to put the camera away and brought it back out to catch a few final moments. He was on top of responding to all questions before, during, and after. He took photos of me and my husband before the ceremony and got some wonderful shots (it was a 95 outside wedding so this was much appreciated because we all had some sweat on our faces). But before we got Percy and our booking process with eivans it was super simple, and just an overall great experience.”

Our DJ was Ace, Sax Player Austin and singer Natalie. I booked 11 months in advance, had a phone meet and greet 6 weeks out and had several revisions to the itinerary as we got closer to the event. Any changes , questions or ideas I had were promptly acknowledged, answered and collaborated on which continually reassured me that Second Song took a personal interest in making our night one to remember. I also found out that Second Song is frequently hired by my employer, Providence Medical Center in Torrance, for their Foundation events.”

“If we could give The Hook Club more stars, we would! Let me get my one gripe out of the way at the top here: I’m pretty sure the only reason my now husband agreed to a wedding celebration was to hire The Hook Club after seeing them at a friend’s wedding before we met. It was the only part of the wedding planning process he felt truly passionate about from the jump – we knew we wanted them before we even had a venue or date and went so far as to clear our potential dates with them before booking anything else. Fast forward, and Dan made the band planning process so supported and seamless that my husband’s one job went off without a hitch. The problem? Despite me planning every other single little detail of our three-day wedding weekend, the first thing that every single guest complimented (and still raves above, 1 month later) was THE BAND! But in truth, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are absolutely ecstatic with our choice of hiring The Hook Club for our wedding. We did acoustic guitars for the ceremony, sax and tracks for cocktail and band and DJ for reception. THC was outstanding to work with from the jump. Dan is a wealth of knowledge and organization, and brings a calm, cool, collected vibe through every step of the planning process. Not to mention, he’s a great musician who can come discuss timeline with you while also playing the base day of :D. The process THC uses to help plan is smooth and clear. The communication was great throughout – we knew what to expect from the first planning call all the way up to some adhoc timeline changes day of. The band has an extensive repertoire and was able to take in our song, vibe, and timeline requests while also using their extensive experience to guide us along the way. The music carried the vibe throughout the day – from guitars at the ceremony to sax and tracks leading through cocktail hour and a mix of dance sets, slow dances, and expert MC’ing on the dance floor, we couldn’t get enough. So much so, that we extended the end time of the event just to have more fun on the dance floor with THC! Everyone was so nice, supportive, energetic and just brought their outstandingly talented A game and the absolute best vibe. The band got out on the dance floor with us, led us in call and response and a little choreographed proud Mary moment. Our first dance song is not a very common song, not only did THC learn it for us, but they provided us a track of their composition beforehand so we could practice the dance. You’ll see in the pictures my face when I first heard them play it – completely awestruck! That was pretty much my inner face the entire rest of the night in their presence. I have so many fond memories of engaging with THC throughout our wedding. If I could do it again, I’d hire THC without a second thought.”

Thanks to their Venue Match service, we found our dream spot—the Prospect Park Boathouse. It was exactly what we envisioned: beautiful, intimate, and full of charm. “Bakers Ranch is a team of informed wedding professionals who are experts in the unique art of weddings. Our wedding day felt like pure magic, and it is truly thanks to the incredible team at this wedding venue. Our guests were in awe of the space, and we received so many compliments regarding the décor, drinks, food, photographer and overall experience. My husband and I put a lot of time and research into finding the right wedding venue for us, and we walked away from our wedding day with a feeling of pride for our selection, and gratitude for the support we received. We looked at venues across three states. It was a little overwhelming and emotional, knowing that the venue would dictate so much of our time as an engaged couple and ultimately, our one wedding day. Bakers Ranch immediately stood out to us, it was an all-inclusive wedding venue that would eliminate some stress of planning. It had a gorgeous green backdrop of ancient oaks and rich foliage. It had Jeremy, a wedding planner that was calm, reassuring, honest and unlike any wedding professional we had met in our search. We booked the first available Saturday the following year almost immediately. I was also an extremely detail-oriented bride, straight down to the plates, the handmade table cards, and a personal note for each attendee. But it was all perfect. The decor, the flowers, the cocktails, the food, the week before, the day before, the day of, were all a dream. Everything that I communicated was heard. The night before our wedding, when our original makeup/hair artist had to cancel last minute, Eva and Maria stepped in and worked their magic. Despite their busy schedule, they managed to fit us in and did an exceptional job, making us look absolutely perfect on our special day. Their professionalism and skill were evident throughout the entire process. We were impressed by their attention to detail and how they listened to our preferences, ensuring that we felt comfortable and confident with the final look. Eva and Maria's ability to adapt to unexpected situations like ours is truly commendable. Although the last-minute change was a bit stressful, the seamless way in which Eva and Maria handled everything provided us with a sense of relief and confidence. “Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”
